The Chamonix Valley isn't just for skiers, in the summer it provides a mountain playground for those interested in a wide range of outdoor activities.

Cycling and Mountain Biking

Enjoy fantastic road cycling tours with Breathe Bike (www.breathebike.com).  Chamonix's perfect location in the heart of the French Alps where France, Italy and Switzerland meet, allows access to many classic climbs of the Tour de France, Tour de Suisse and Giro D'Italia


There is a wide range of mountain bike trails of varying difficulty in the Chamonix Valley.  Les Houches is particularly well placed for downhill mountain biking, with lots of excellent trails of varying technical ability.

  


Climbing

People come from all over the world to climb Chamonix's mountain peaks.  For those wanting to practise, or if the weather is bad, there are also a number of indoor climbing walls in the valley.

Walking

Chamonix Valley offers beautiful walks through pine and spruce forests with wonderful views of glaciers and soaring rocky peaks. 

Paragliding

The beautiful Chamonix region is a paragliding mecca. Big thermals, eagles, glaciers and stunning mountains make the valley one of the best flying areas in the world.

Family Fun

There is plenty of fun to be had for the whole family in the region.  


Chamonix boasts a 50 m outdoor swimming pool, together with a fun pool and a water slide.
 

The Chamonix Amusement Park offers a great family day out with a luge rollercoaster, toboggans, trampolines, electric motorcycles, a giant swing, a playground and a zipline.
